ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR –2011-2012
INTRODUCTION : SRI RAGAVENDRA DISABLED WELFARE
TRUST (SRDWT) is a Registered Secular Voluntary Social service organization. It is registered under the Indian Trust act.
General aim & Objective of the “SRDWT” is to provide social –economic and
cultural advancement through social education, social awareness, General
education, Health education, Trainings , camps, seminars, media&
communication, Research and action, Health &Welfare for the weaken section
in the community & Society “SRDWT” Members Office bearers and Volunteers are proposed to work for the
dalit people, destitute, widows, children,
Aged, divorced women, disabled & Handicapped, blinds, deaf dump, and
other needy people of our target area. bring forth the Annual Report for the year 2011-2012 as mentioned below for your kind information.
01. HEALTH CAMP FOR
DISABLED :
“SRDWT” has been conducting Rural health camp in some selected
&identified villages in each every month to assist/help the Disabled rural
poor those who are struggling without proper medical treatment facilities
towards health &wealth. Most of the Disabled people of our area has been
benefited by this programme in each
every month through out the year.

AWARENESS SEMINAR FOR DISABLED :-
“SRDWT” has been conducting Disabled youth &women seminar in
each every month to discuss various topics towards self employment importance,
National Integration values, Religions and Social harmony, self development,
social education &social awareness and Etc.
Most of the selected Disabled
youth &women members from rural villages has been benefited by this
seminars.
03. LEGAL AID SEMINAR FOR DISABLED :-
“SRDWT” has been organizing Legal aid seminar in each every month to the Disabled needy Legal
consumers to impart the legal
rights, Legal proceedings, Legal approach, free legal service in the
District Municif court, Legal
awareness. The eminent Lawyers has been
taught the above said subjects with more Examples, This is most useful programmes to the Disabled
Legal consumers and people.
04. AIDS
AWARNESS SEMINAR:-
“SRDWT” has been conducting Aids awareness seminars to the Disabled youth, women, Adult male/Female ,
adolescents, Drivers, Truckers and sex
workers and Etc. in each every month.
On messages and Lectures was related to safe Sex, Nirodh usage and how to prevent STD and
HIV infection. The eminent Resource persons and NGO’S
representatives were taught about this dangerous diseases, Prevention
and control.
05. HUMAN RIGHTS SEMINAR FOR DISABLED
“SRDWT” has been
conducting Human rights seminar to the Disabled needy Poor People to Learn
about their rights and awareness in all the aspects of the life
Process in each every month in our Office Premises. Most of the needy Disabled People and
Consumer People from the Rural Remote Villages were participated in the
Seminars in each every month.
06. RURAL CULTURAL
PROGRAMME FOR DISABLED
“SRDWT” has been conducting Rural cultural Programme in each every
month in each every one rural remote
villages to create social awareness and to create basic awareness, about
the community &Society, Education importance, Health &Wealth and other
various community based issues as a
Entertainment as well as to create Good Knowledge about the Social
Integration/Social awareness. Most of
the rural remote village Disabled People were benefited by this innovative programmes.
07. CAREER GUIDENCE FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
“SRDWT” has been
organizing the career guidance to the identified & qualified rural
Disabled youth/ women, especially SC/ST
students towards self employment,
employment opportunity, Small business, Entrepreneurship for self
employment, Income generation Programmes
and Etc to create good knowledge and
counseling about the life establishment and self sustainability. Most of rural Disabled youths/women from SC/ST and others
are benefited by this programme in each every month.
08. SCHEMES
GUIDANCE FOR DISABLED PEOPLE:-
“SRDWT” has been conducting schemes guidance for the Disabled
People. The Resource persons and
NGO’S Representatives guide those people to avail loans, Scholarship assistance
to their children, Grant in Aid from the state and Central government
departments like THADCO,DRDA, DIC, KVIC,
Most of the Disabled People from rural remote villages are benefited by
this programmes in each Every month.
09. DISABLED WELFARE PROGRAMME : -
“SRDWT” has been doing various welfare programmes to the Identified
and selected Disabled People in Thiruthuraipoondi Tk, Thiruvarur Dist,
Like Free Rice, Cloths, Disabled Equipments, food, and other Possible
Support and assistances in each every month regularly. We also arranging to avail some Government
support Like amounts, Loans, Wheel Chairs, Spastics and etc.
120 Disabled People has been benefited regularly .
10. FREE HOSTEL FOR DISABLED CHILDREN:-
“SRDWT” has been running Hostel and School for Disabled Children,
Thiruthuraipoondi and around the
villages the Disabled Students has been
identified and selected for this project.
We are providing Food,
Shelter, water, clothes, Books, Note
Books, Transport, and Stationeries
facilities to the Disabled People. 30
Disabled Students has been benefited for this project everyday.
11. FREE TUITION
FOR DISABLED STUDENTS :-
“SRDWT” has been Conducting free Tuition to the Disabled Poor
students from rural poor families as well as rural villages, Those who are unable to pay a Tuition
fees to the Teacher every month. They are identified &selected by the “SRDWT” and conducting Tuition center to create good knowledge and Education among the
poor Students. Most of the Disabled
Poor students are benefited by this programmes in each every month.
12. FREE UNIFORM FOR DISABLED STUDENTS :-
“SRDWT”
has been distributing Free Uniform
to the Disabled rural poor students
those who are living under below poverty
line from the rural remote villages.
Most of the deserved Disabled rural poorest of the poor students has
been benefited by this special Event and programme.
13. FREE NOTE BOOKS FOR DISABLED STUDENTS :-
“SRDWT” has been distributing
Free Note Books to the Disabled rural
poor students those who are living under
below poverty line from the rural remote villages. Most of the deserved Disabled rural poorest of the poor students has been
benefited by this special Event and programme.
14.
CONSUMER AWARENESS FOR DISABLED
“SRDWT” has been
conducting consumers awareness Seminar in
each every month in each every one selected &identified
villages. Efficient lawyers, Lecturers,
on civil laws on consumers Protection
and facilities and how to be caution and adulteration and illegal commercial
Products and details of consumers
rights, Medical care as well as other
products. Thus the awareness on
consumers Protection has been generated in those villages in each every month
for the Cause of rural community and society.
The most of the Disabled People are benefited by this seminars.
15.
ENVIRONMENT& ECOLOGY SEMINAR FOR
DISABLED :
“SRDWT” has been conducting
Environment & Ecology seminar in
each every month in the “SRDWT” office premises. Most of the selected disabled women, youth, farmers, and school going
students has been benefited by this programme in each every month. Related subjects of the Environment &Ecology has been taught by the
eminent Resource Persons during these seminars organized days.
CONCLUSSION:-
“SRDWT” has been initiated and implemented above said programmes by the public Donations as well as by members
contributions and advances during the financial year 2011-2012 We have been
implementing the above said programmes
and welfare activities for Disabled
according to our abilities & possibilities. But, we are Seeking the proper sources of
Funds /Assistances from the Internal /External DONOR Agency and state and
central governments to do the various welfare projects /Programmes to do the
best services to the Disabled down -trodden rural poor community /Society. We are expecting fund/ Contributions from
the DONOR Agency, government departments and other public sector to accomplish
this great task in meaningful way.
